PETALING JAYA: Low cost carrier AirAsia Bhd has warned the public against a social media post which claims to offer free flight tickets through an online survey.
In a statement today, the public-listed entity said the scam directs people to a link www.airasia.com-2017-givea.us and requires participants to answer questions in order to redeem the vouchers.
"Additionally, there is also another scam circulating on Facebook, offering 268 free AirAsia tickets in conjunction with AirAsia's 28th anniversary.

We would like to confirm that both of the social media posts are scams, which uses the AirAsia brand without authorisation, to lure the public to participate in its scheme," the company added.
Advising the public to disregard such scams, the airline further stated that it will not be held liable for any claims pertaining to the false scheme and will not hesitate to take legal action against individuals or groups that organise illegal schemes using the AirAsia brand.
"All official announcements are made via AirAsia's official channels and credible mass media," it added.
