Fun-filled Zumba time

WATSONS Malaysia is already on the ball organising its annual Move Your Body Zumba social shindig scheduled for Oct 21.
Asia’s leading health and beauty retailer expects over 10,000 participants and hopes to set a new Malaysian record for the largest Zumba gathering, at Sunway Lagoon Surf Beach.

This year’s Zumba edition sees Watsons collaborating with Zumba Fitness, a global Zumba organisation from the US. Watsons Malaysia customer director Danny Hoh shared about the upcoming do and new additions Zumba enthusiasts and participants should keep an eye out for.
“For the fourth year running, Watsons Move Your Body Zumba offers an iconic event. As such, we want to reward our consumers with a money-can’t-buy experience via a night to remember with international renowned Zumba instructors and a lineup of top deejays.
“The run-up to this event includes Zumba classes with Zumba Fitness to be held in Penang, Ipoh, Malacca, Johor Baru and Klang Valley, before the main event at Sunway Lagoon,” Hoh said.
Zumba enthusiasts will be all smiles with the likes of Zumba presenters from Canada Richard Gormley, South Korea’s Nana, plus Henry Cendeno all the way from the US. Music fans and social butterflies can expect a radical party with Malaysia’s deejay duo Chukies & Whackboii who will be spinning tunes alongside the Leng Sisters!

Watsons Malaysia general manager and country head Caryn Loh elaborated on the event, explaining how it supports the #GETACTIVE campaign launched early this year.

“This annual Zumba event is one of our main drives to support the recently launched Watsons #GETACTIVE campaign, which is aimed at further promoting healthy living and positioning Watsons as the ideal health and beauty shopping place,” Loh said.
The Malaysia Book of Records credited the Watsons Move Your Body Zumba event as the largest Zumba gathering in Malaysia, with over 7,000 people participating in the event in 2015. Over 5,300 people participated in the glow-in-the dark-themed Zumba event last year.
