7-11 worker who preyed on other 7-11 outlets pays dearly

KUALA LUMPUR: A worker of a 7-Eleven outlet who preyed on other 7-Eleven outlets will have the next 12 years to think about the error of his ways.
Not only that, he will also be getting four strokes of the rotan.
Ampang Sessions Court judge Syafeera Mohd Said meted out the punishment to Meor Amirun Meor Zainal Abidin, 22, after the accused pleaded guilty to robbing two fellow outlets, three weeks ago.
At the first in Tasek Permai Ampang here on May 13, he escaped with cash and cigarettes worth RM813 while at the second in Taman Seraya, Pandan Indah on May 18, he robbed similar loot worth RM738.90.
The court punished to him to six years jail and two strokes of the rotan for each offence which were to run consecutively from the date of his arrest on May 19.
Deputy public prosecutor Goh Ai Rene appeared for the prosecution while the accused was unrepresented. — Bernama
