KUALA LUMPUR: GrabCar drivers will benefit from the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Perodua and Grab Malaysia via value-added services.
Perodua Sales Sdn Bhd managing director Datuk Dr Zahari Husin said the MoU allows for minimal time for a GrabCar registration and also serve as a one-stop centre for servicing and spare parts, insurance and road tax issuance and renewal.
"This MoU is a new frontier for Perodua as it will highlight our products to the masses on a big scale through Grab," he said in a statement today.
The services also range from special price packages for the Bezza, Myvi and Alza Models to competitive hire purchase rates.
Grab Malaysia country head Sean Goh said the company was continuously identifying mutually beneficial partnerships to help reduce the cost of driving and car ownership, which was a major concern.
"We look forward to working alongside our driver-partners in these areas, as well as extending access to safe, reliable, efficient and affordable transport options," he added.
From January to April this year, Perodua delivered 64,600 vehicles, representing a market share of 35.4% of the total industry volume, with the Axia model contributing 22,000 units to total sales, Bezza (19,500 units), Myvi (13,900 units) and Alza (9,300 units). — Bernama
