Pigeon shoes ruffle some feathers

JAPANESE shoemaker Kyoto Ohata means well when she designs these hilarious pigeon-themed high heels.

Kyoto often walks through an area filled with pigeons, and they scatter as she comes through. Not wanting to scare them off, she came out with these shoes shaped as pigeons.

However, some animal activists have voiced their objection, saying these shoes shouldn't be used to fool the pigeons. They say this flight instinct is vital for their survival.

Well, Kyoto is merely trying to kill two birds with one stone — look fashionable and not scare the pigeons off when she approaches them.
