Police record statement of doctor who treated Zulfarhan

KUALA LUMPUR: Police have recorded the statement of the doctor who treated Naval Cadet Officer, Zulfarhan Osman Zulkarnain who died after he was suspected to have been abused to enable a comprehensive investigation to be carried out regarding his death.
Selangor CID Chief, SAC Fadzil Ahmat said the police were also tracking down several other individuals to assist in the investigation of the case.
“So far, only 36 students aged between 20 and 21 years were remanded to assist in the investigation on the incident and we are in the process of taking down the statement of the doctor concerned,” he said when contacted by Bernama, here today.
Zulfarhan Osman, 21, died at the Serdang Hospital, at 10pm last night with bruise marks and scaldings on the body.
His death was investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code and police have remanded 36 UPNM and Universiti Tenaga Nasional students for seven days beginning yesterday to assist in the investigation. — Bernama
