Shrine set up to honour Karpal Singh

A SHRINE has been set up to honour the late Karpal Singh at the Tian Feng Gong temple in Teluk Intan.
The temple's caretaker Goh Chai Huat told Sin Chew Daily that the shrine was completed after it managed to raise RM2,000, including contributions from a Sabahan devotee.
The family of the former DAP national champion wasn't consulted by the temple when the shrine was set up. "We don't wish to offend any religion or tradition and prefer not to offer any comments on the matter," his son, Ramkarpal Singh, was quoted by a news portal as saying.
Karpal died in a car accident in Kampar on April 17, 2014. Ramkarpal succeeded him as Bukit Gelugor MP.
