FGV appoints three new executive committee members, interim CFO

PETALING JAYA: The board of directors of Felda Global Ventures Holdings Bhd (FGV) said its group president/CEO Datuk Zakaria Arshad (pix) and CFO Ahmad Tifli Mohd Talha have been given leave of absence commencing today, pending investigations of certain transactions under the group's subsidiary Delima Oil Products Sdn Bhd.
"FGV will continue its business as usual," it said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.
In the meantime, FGV said a board executive committee, comprising of two FGV directors Datuk Dr Omar Salim and Datuk Mohd Zafer Mohd Hashim, together with head of logistics cluster Azman Ahmad, will take over the responsibility to perform the functions of the group president/CEO.
FGV said the board has also appointed its group financial controller, plantation sector Aznur Kama Azmir as the interim group CFO.
"Further announcements shall be made in the event of material developments on this matter," it added.
FGV shares were down 4.05% or 7 sen at RM1.66 as of 12.05pm today when trading was halted, with some 27.1 million shares traded. It resumed trade at 2.30pm.
