TH gives RM86,000 Aidilfitri aid to the needy

SEREMBAN: The Pilgrims Fund Board (TH) today gave out contributions to 172 asnaf (poor and needy) in its Negri Sembilan state-level goodwill programme held at the grounds of Masjid Sikamat near here.
Its board member, Prof Tan Sri Abdul Shukor Husin said the recipients comprised people from the Ampangan and Sikamat congregation who each received RM500 as Aidilfitri aid, which involved an overall total of RM86,000.
"The programme is one of TH's corporate social responsibility programmes for the month of Ramadan, providing help to single fathers and mothers, senior citizens, the disabled as well as the poor and needy nationwide," he said in his speech.
Also present were Ampangan state assemblyman Datuk Abu Ubaidah Redza and state TH director Khairoddin Ahmad.
Abdul Shukor added the programme also aimed to give out donations to 1,941 poor and needy people nationwide this year. – Bernama
