A STALL selling chrysanthemum tea at a Ramadan bazaar near Alor Star's Darul Aman Stadium is abuzz with activity as it draws customers and bees by the thousands each day.
Alor Star residents, looking for a sweet drink to accompany their food for breaking fast, are making a beeline for the sweet offering.
A video of customers lining at the stall was shared on Facebook by Ridzuan Rahman, garnering over 17,000 shares and equally big number of comments.
One person asked if the bees were drawn to the stall themselves or were they brought there by the stall operators.
This begs the question — what attracts bees?
Bees are drawn by scents and colours of flowers because these are the sources of nectar for food. If a person looks or smells like a flower, they are more likely to attract the attention of a bee.
Similarly, an object with strong scent of chrysanthemum would draw them. Perhaps, this explains why that particular stall is the bee's knees.
