Perak KPDNKK seize fake branded shoes worth over RM62,000

IPOH: The Perak branch of the Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry (KPDNKK) seized 2,764 fake branded shoes worth RM62,320 after raiding two houses in Bukit Merah, Menglembu here yesterday.
Its deputy director, Suhaimi Mat Sari said in the 5.45pm raids, the team, comprising 15 enforcement personnel and four policemen also detained two men, aged 21 and 70, at the residential premises-cum-storage area.
"The two men were the caretakers of the premises...This is the biggest seizure (involving fake branded shoes) in Perak for this year.
"We will contact the owner(s) of the goods for verification, and later (the seizure) will be sent to the Chemistry Department for analysis," he told a press conference here today. — Bernama
