National Cyber Security Act to be tabled

JOHOR BARU: The National Cyber Security Act will be tabled at the next parliament sitting, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said today.
He said the act would deter recruitment and financial sourcing by terrorist group, money laundering, and online gambling.
"Placing it under one agency will ensure better, more coordinated action against cybersecurity threats in Malaysia," he said after after inspecting M-bike system at the Sultan Iskandar Customs, Immigration and Quarantine (CIQ) Building here today.
Ahmad Zaid said he had handed over the draft to Attorney-General Tan Sri Datuk Seri Mohamed Apandi Ali on Thursday.
