200 Sada lorries on standby to send water supply during Aidilfitri celebration

SIK: About 200 lorries will be provided by Syarikat Air Darul Aman (Sada) to send clean water supply to areas facing water supply disruption during the Aidilfitri celebration, said Kedah Local Government , Water Supply, Water Resources and Energy, Housing and Human Development Committee chairman Datuk Badrul Hisham Hashim.
He said the state government and Sada viewed seriously water supply problems and had taken various measures to resolve the matter.
"There are more than 570,000 Sada subscribers and an estimated 4,000 subscribers will be affected by water supply disruption. They include in Merbok, Baling, Pokok Sena and Padang Terap.
"Therefore, with the Aidilfitri celebration, we will provide more than 200 lorries to send clean water supply to the affected areas,” he told reporters after a breaking of fast event and presentation of Ramadan contribution at Masjid Sik Dalam here last night.
Also present were State Information, Rural Development and Poverty Eradication Committee chairman, Datuk Mohd Tajudin Abdullah, who is also Belantik assemblyman.
"We will also set up complaint centres in the affected areas to facilitate consumers to lodge complaints so that immediate measures can be taken.
"Static tanks will also be placed at mosques,” he said and advised the public to use water prudently. — Bernama
