Kelantan JPJ seizes 168 cloned vehicles since January

KOTA BARU: The Road Transport Department (JPJ) in Kelantan has seized 168 cloned vehicles since January, said its director Mahasan Mustapha.
He said the cloned vehicles confiscated were mostly Honda models, bought at between RM8,000 to RM25,000 each.
"The cloned cars were usually sold online with various attractive offers to entice buyers," he told reporters after the launching of the programme "Arriving Safely at Your Destination with Kelantan JPJ" in Melor here today.
Mahasan said in the latest case last week, JPJ seized a Honda Jazz and a Honda Odyssey from two civil servants.
"The cars were said to be bought online and could be obtained in a month. Such vehicles are easily detected by JPJ at roadblocks," he said. — Bernama
