Pipe replacement works in Section 5 to last till next year

PETALING JAYA: Pipe replacement work by Air Selangor in Section 5 here is expected to cause some inconvenience to residents for about a year, said Rajiv Rishyakaran (pix).
The Bukit Gasing assemblyman said the work which is estimated to cost about RM6 million started last week and will end in June next year.
"This is one of the eighty-four water pipe replacement projects in Selangor. Work started in Section 5 first as pipes here are old and regular breaks are causing supply disruption to some eight hundred houses," he said after visiting a site here.
Rajiv said he was trying to get funds to replace old pipes in Section 1 and Section 14.
