KUALA LUMPUR: PLUS Malaysia Berhad (PLUS) will close all the 134 added value lanes at its toll plazas from June 22 until July 2 to allow for smooth traffic flow during the Hari Raya Aidilfitri holiday.
According to PLUS, in a statement, today the measure was aimed at reducing congestion caused by highway commuters queuing up at the value added lanes.
"PLUS expects the traffic flow at the North-South Expressway, in conjunction with the Hari Raya Aidilfitri holiday, will increase to 21 per cent compared to normal days.
"PLUS reminds the public to ensure their PLUSMiles or Touch 'n Go cards have sufficient balance," said the statement.
Members of the public can top up their cards at 9,200 other value added locations nationwide, including automated teller machines (ATM), 24-hour convenience stores and petrol stations, including those operating at rest and service (R&R) areas along the highway.
PLUS customer service centres will also open daily from 7 am until 10 pm, including weekends and public holidays to enable the public to carry out their added value matters at the selected toll plazas. — Bernama
