Police looking for man who gave drugs to child

BUKIT MERTAJAM: Police are looking for a man in Gurun, Kedah, who is believed to have given drugs to a child. A police report has been lodged after a video showing the child with an apparatus for taking drugs went viral.
It shows the child holding the device while a man in the background is heard asking him if he liked the “feeling of it” and wanted more.
Central Seberang Perai district police chief ACP Nik Ros Azhan Nik Abdul Hamid confirmed a report has been lodged. He said the case was referred to the Kedah police contingent for further action.
When contacted, Kedah CID chief Datuk Mior Farid Alathrash Wahid said police have begun investigations.
Seberang Perai Municipal Council (MPSP) councillor P. David Marshel said he lodged a police report after viewing the video.
He said the toddler was given a device which is believed to be used to administer drugs like ice or syabu.
“I have received information the boy is from Gurun, Kedah, and the man is the boyfriend of the mother. I hope the police will take action to investigate and rescue the boy,” he said.
