Previin in tears over Nhaveen's death

GEORGE TOWN: T. Previin, 19, broke down in tears and could not accept news of his childhood friend, T. Nhaveen's death after being informed by family a day after surgery.
The teenager's mother K. Kalyani, 59, said Previnn broke down several times after knowing Nhaveen's death and did not have appetite to take foods since informed on the sad news yesterday.
She said her son was visibly upset and have to hold back his tears but slowly accepting death of Nhaveen.
"Previnn keeps mentioning that he wants to see Nhaveen,"she told media when met at Penang Hospital.
Kalyani , nonetheless,added his son's eye was still swollen but doctors gave clearance to be discharged latest by Tuesday.
Also present was Previnn's uncle M. G. R. Devan, 57.
Devan said he will request police to safeguard Previnn's security through state government as the latter was the only witness in the incident involving Nhaveen's death.
"His safety should be looked into," he stressed.
Earlier, Malaysian Crime Prevention Foundation (MCPF) vice-chairman Datuk P. K. Pulayantran visited Previnn at hospital.
Pulayantran noted concern on Previnn's safety to be prioritised pending family requirements.
"They can write in to police as well," he said, adding that bullying at schools should be stopped.
Northeast district police chief ACP Anuar Omar, in a statement, said four days remand order been obtained for three suspects for rioting and extortion of Penal Code.
"Their remand starts today until Tuesday," he added.
