Johor Port unit to operate solid product jetty at Petronas' PIC

PETALING JAYA: Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas) subsidiary PRPC Utilities and Facilities Sdn Bhd has signed an agreement with Johor Port Bhd unit SPT Services Sdn Bhd for operating the Pengerang Integrated Complex's (PIC) solid product jetty.
The jetty was designed to manage the volume produced by PIC as well as to ensure the timely export of containerised polymer and sulphur to the market.
In a statement last Friday, Petronas said SPT Services will provide operating equipment and systems, as well as manage the operations and maintenance of the jetty.
Apart from the solid product jetty, the PIC includes the Refinery and Petrochemical Integrated Development (Rapid), the Pengerang Cogeneration Plant, an LNG regasification terminal, a raw water supply project (Pamer), the Pengerang Deepwater Terminal, as well as centralised and shared utilities and facilities.
