Security guard charged with outraging modesty of Form Four student

KUALA LUMPUR: A security guard pleaded not guilty in the Ampang Magistrates Court here yesterday to a charge of using criminal force on a Form Four student with intent to outrage her modesty.
Muhammad Syukur Mostapa, 18, was alleged to have committed the offence on the girl, aged 16, in a store room at the Sungai Sering Water Treatment Plan, Jalan Ukay Perdana, Ulu Klang here, between 4am and 6am last April 27.
The charge, under Section 354 of the Penal Code, provides an imprisonment for up to 10 years, or with fine, or with whipping, or with any two of the punishments, if found guilty.
Magistrate Haslinda A.Raof allowed Muhammad Syukur, who was unrepresented, bail of RM8,000 with one surety and also ordered him to not intimidate the victim.
She set July 3 for mention.
