South Johor Baru gets new district police chief

JOHOR BARU: Former Perak Crime Prevention and Community Safety chief ACP Shahurinain Jais, took over as South Johor Baru district police chief today.
ACP Shahurinain succeeds Senior Assistant Commissioner Sulaiman Salleh, who has been promoted as head of the Management Department of the Selangor Police Contingent Headquarters, effective June 22.
The handing over of duties was witnessed by Johor police chief, Datuk Seri Wan Ahmad Najmuddin Mohd at the Johor police contingent headquarters.
"I look forward to pursuing the excellent performance of the Johor Baru Selatan Police Headquarters (IPD) as led by SAC Sulaiman since 2014," Shahurinain said at the event.
He has been with the police force since 1997 and held several key positions before being transferred to Johor Baru Selatan IPD.
The event also saw the handing over of duties to the new chairman of the Police Family Association (Perkep) Johor Baru Selatan, Siti Balqis Abdullah from Pauziah Zainal Abidin. — Bernama
