Three men held over burglaries, thefts in JB

JOHOR BARU: Three men believed to be involved in burglaries and thefts were nabbed at a budget hotel in Mutiara Rini near here two days ago.
Iskandar Puteri police chief ACP Noor Hashim Mohamad said police raided the hotel at 8am on receiving a tip-off and succeeded in arresting the three suspects aged between 19 and 27.
"Police seized various stolen items found in the hotel room as well as those hidden underneath the mattress," he said in a statement here today.
Among the confiscated tools included a metal cutter, torchlight, pliers, screw driver, folding knife, powerbank, mobile phone, a key and a remote control.
Also seized were a backpack, women's purses, five pieces of ATM cards, Singapore sim cards, S$27 (RM83), RM50, a gold sales receipt and other personnel documents of victims.
With the arrest of the three men, police believe they have solved seven cases of burglaries in north Johor Baru and Iskandar Puteri. — Bernama
