PARAMOUNT Pictures and J.J. Abrams' Bad Robot have set a release date for the supernatural thriller Overlord, starring Fences actor Jovan Adepo and Wyatt Russell (via Variety).
The movie — produced by American film director, producer, screenwriter, and composer Abrams, who is renown for his work in the drama, action and science fiction genres (Armageddon, Cloverfield, Star Trek: Into Darkness) — is now scheduled to bow in theatres on Oct 26, 2018.
Set in the World War II era on the eve of D-Day, the film centres on a team of American paratroopers who are dropped behind enemy lines to carry out a mission at a Nazi-occupied village, but soon find themselves fighting against supernatural forces, part of a Nazi experiment.
Directed by Julius Avery (Son of a Gun), and produced by Abrams and Lindsey Weber through Bad Robot, the film comes from a script penned by Billy Ray (Captain Phillips) and Mark L. Smith (The Revenant). — AFP Relaxnews
