Pakistani man charged with outraging modesty of neighbour's daughter

KUALA LUMPUR: A Pakistani man was charged at the Ampang Magistrate's Court here today with outraging the modesty of his neighbour's 10-year-old daughter two weeks ago.
Atta-Ur-Rehman, 44, who works at an auto service centre, however, pleaded not guilty.
He was alleged to have committed the offence at his workplace in Taman Ukay Perdana, here at 5.30pm on June 11.
The charge under Section 354 of the Penal Code carries a maximum jail term of 10 years or with fine or whipping, or any two of the punishments, if convicted.
Magistrate Haslinda A. Raof denied bail and set Aug 3 for remention.
Deputy public prosecutor Raihanah Abd Razak prosecuted, while the accused was not represented. — Bernama
