PM's confidence Perlis will win all parliamentary seats is challenge to BN

KANGAR: Prime Minister and Umno president Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak's confidence that Perlis can win all three parliamentary seats in the coming 14th General Election (GE14) is a challenge to the state Barisan Nasional, specifically Umno.
Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Azlan Man said Najib's confidence was actually a challenge to the state leadership to continue boosting unity and working hard to strengthen the general election machinery.
"I am optimistic we can meet the prime minister's aspirations based on the current good support of the people and the strong and orderly functioning of the state party machinery," he said.
He was commenting on Najib's confidence in his speech to the grassroots leaders here on Monday that Perlis could win all three parliamentary seats in GE14.
Azlan was met after handing over tithes from the Muda Agriculture Development Authority to the Kayang state constituency at Dewan Residensi here today. — Bernama
