Raja Muda of Perlis launches state-level road safety campaign

ARAU: The Raja Muda of Perlis Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamlullail launched the state-level Road Safety Campaign at the Arau Ramadan Bazaar yesterday.
The campaign, themed “Pandu Cermat, Sampai Selamat – Keselamatan Tanggungjawab Kita Bersama” , is carried out based on the National Blue Ocean Strategy (NBOS) concept and involved government agencies such the Road Safety Department (JKJR) , Road Safety Council (MKJR) , Kangar Municipal Council, Perlis Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAIPs) and the Social Security Organisation (SOCSO).
In his speech, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin said government and private agencies should assist JKJR and MKJR to reduce road accidents and make the roads safer for motorists.
At the event, JKJR and SOCSO contributed 50 crash helmets for motorcyclists, as well as distributed light reflection stickers and pamphlets on road safety tips.
In conjunction with the event, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin handed over tithe from MAIPs to 40 people. Each received RM600.
