PETALING JAYA: Two lorry drivers were charged in the Sessions Court here today with voluntarily causing grievous hurt to a man by almost severing three of his fingers with a machete two weeks ago.
Friends K.Senthilnathan, 34, and S. Saktiya Seelan, 19, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The offence, under Section 326 of the Penal Code, provides an imprisonment for up to 20 years and fine, or whipping, if found guilty.
Judge Azwarnida Affandi allowed Saktiya Seelan bail of RM8,000 in one surety and also ordered him to not intimidate the victim and his family.

He was also ordered to report himself at the nearest police station on the first week of every month.
However, Senthilnathan's guarantor was not in court.
Both the accused were represented by lawyer A. Nadarajan, while deputy public prosecutor Norazalina Razali prosecuted. — Bernama
