PETALING JAYA: There is no bad blood between the top DAP leadership and its Kepong parliamentarian Dr Tan Seng Giaw, says acting DAP national chairman Tan Kok Wai (pix).
"It is absolutely untrue of any such attempts (to alienate Seng Giaw)," he told theSun.
He added any matter involving disputes among members within the party would be handled internally within DAP.
Kok Wai however refused to comment further when asked whether Seng Giaw had become a liability to the party due to his unpredictable stand.
Seng Giaw had long been regarded as a loose cannon in the party due to making a stand that occasionally contradicted with the party's.
A recent apparent dispute between him and the party surfaced when DAP secretary-general cum Penang chief minister Lim Guan Eng claimed that Seng Giaw was incommunicado since the beginning of the year.
The Kepong MP when contacted refuted Lim, stating that it he was just a phone call away from being reached.
Seng Giaw had on June 18 voiced out his opinion on the environmental condition in Penang, raising the issue of greenery on the island.
The issue had since been capitalised by the state opposition to attack Lim, with MCA Penang chairman Datuk Tan Teik Cheng saying the remarks "gave the Penang state government a slap on the face".
