Malaysian drug smuggler jailed for life in Phnom Penh

PETALING JAYA: A 22-year-old Malaysian was sentenced to life in prison yesterday for trying to smuggle more than a kilogramme of heroin out of Cambodia last year.
The heroin has a street value of around US$700,000 (RM3 million), the Cambodia Daily reported.
Ahmad Johari Chung, from Sabah state, was arrested at the Phnom Penh International Airport in September while he was trying to board a flight to Taipei via Macau. The drugs were found strapped to his thighs.
