KUALA LUMPUR: Traffic was reportedly moving slowly along several major highways as at 3 pm today on the second day of Aidilfitri, according to highway authorities.
A spokesman of the PLUS traffic control centre said traffic was moving slowly between Slim River and Sungkai, Tapah and Gopeng, Jelapang and Sungai Perak, Sungai Perak and Kuala Kangsar, and Bukit Tambun and Bandar Cassia on the North-South Expressway due to higher volume of vehicles.
South of Kuala Lumpur, traffic congestion for over two kilometres was reported from Km282.9 between Nilai and Bandar Ainsdale due to a stalled vehicle in the middle lane," he said to Bernama.
A spokesman of the Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) said traffic congestion was reported from the Gombak toll plaza to the exit to Genting Highlands.
