KINABATANGAN: All the 14 people feared missing in the Ulu Segama forest reserve near here between four and six days ago have been found safe.
The villagers, aged between 20 and 58, of Kampung Paris 1 near here, were found between 5am and 1.20pm today, said Kinabatangan Police chief Supt A Sahak Rahmat when contacted by Bernama.
Five of them had gone into the jungle last Wednesday to fish in Sungai Bilong but did not return after two days.
On Friday, nine villagers, some of them family members of the five, went into the jungle to look for the missing persons and were reported missing as well.
Sahak said a search was mounted for the 14 by 80 policemen, firefighters, wildlife department personnel and villagers. — Bernama
