BoBoiboy and vehicle stunt show are theme park favourites

IPOH: The Home of BoBoiboy 4D motion adventure on the Floating Island, the world's first, and the Bike and Car Stunt Show, the first in Southeast Asia, seem to the favourite attraction at the newly opened Movie Animation Park Studios (MAPS) in Bandar Meru Raya here.
"The bike and car stunt and 4D adventure excited us. It was a first time experience and it is money worth spending," said Mahadhir Mohamad, 32, a civil servant from Putrajaya who came with his family.
"Part of our Hari Raya celebrations is at the park," said Mahadhir.
A secondary school teacher from Semenyih, Selangor, Chong Fong Fueng, 46, was attracted to the 4D adventure.
Chong, who visited the park with his wife and three children, said his family enjoyed the outing thoroughly.
"I saw the promotion on Facebook and decided to drive down," said Chong.
Social worker Mabel John, 68, who came with 20 family members, said going into the 4D theatre was a new experience.
"In fact everything in the park is attractive " she added.
She said the other attraction is the tickets which are valid for a year.
"The price of the tickets is in line with the attractions," said Mabel.
A university student, Amnah Zulkifli, 19, from Malacca whose hometown is Teluk Intan, said she saw the promotion on the park on television and decided to visit it.
She was among those who went up on to the Asteroid Attack.
"Although it was the first time, I was not afraid or felt giddy as it moved up and down," said Amnah.
For bank employee Rajveer Singh, 44, it was the quality of service provided by staff which attracted him.
"They were courteous and able to assist us in all ways," he added.
Rajveer from Ipoh, who had recently visited Universal Studios in Osaka, Japan, said:"The employees there was helpful and the park staff here proved they could match them in terms of service."
Perak Tourism, Arts, Culture, Communications and Multimedia committee chairman Datuk Nolee Ashilin Mohammed Radzi said the park is a fantastic project and catalyst for the tourism industry.
"MAPS is a place for family and fun activities and it has positioned itself as an attraction in the state as well as in the Southeast Asia region," she added.
MAPS, the first in Asia, opened its doors to the public on Monday with a soft opening.
On the opening day, more then 7,000 people visited the park.
There are several "first experiences" either in the world, Malaysia or Asia available at the latest attraction in town.
Built on a 20.8ha site, MAPS which cost RM520 million houses both international and homegrown Intellectual Properties (IPs) including DreamWorks characters.
The park has more than 40 attractions in six themed zones with the tagline "Live Your Dreams".
These zones are Animation Square, Dream, Blast Off, Live Action, Lakeside and Fantasy Forest Zones.
Three zones, namely Dream, Blast Off and Adventurers' Cartoon Factory in Animation Square, are currently undergoing technical rehearsals before they operate.
