Open house a great way to foster unity among the people: Razif

KUALA NERUS: Hosting Hari Raya Aidilfitri open houses together with government departments and government-linked companies (GLC) adds colour and pomp to the celebrations as well as enhance unity among the people.
Terengganu Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Razif Abd Rahman said this year's Hari Raya open house, held together with government agencies, departments and 24 GLC at Dataran Permata, Seberang Takir was expected to attract 30,000 visitors.
"The open house which started at 11am was expected to end at 3pm but since people continue to come in, we hope to achieve the 30,000 mark," he said adding that only state government agencies, departments and GLC are involved.
"Next year we plan to include agencies, departments, and GLC from the federal government, banks and other corporate companies. The event will be even bigger," he told reporters after ushering the visitors, here today.
The presence of thousands of people from all races and all walks of life at the open house shows the support of the people for the ruling government. — Bernama
