Water supply disruption in Kerian on Wednesday

TAIPING: Come Wednesday, residents at several areas in the Kerian District will experience water supply disruption from 9am to 5pm, says the Perak Water Board (LAP).
In a statement here today, LAP (west region) said the water supply disruption was due to the renovation of the 700mm steel pipe to raw water pipe at the Selinsing canal, Semanggol.
It said among affected areas were along Jalan Semanggol, Jalan Kerian and Jalan Kampong Selamat, Jalan Kubu Gajah, Bukit Merah to Changkat Lobak, along Jalan keretapi Bukit Merah-Alor Pongsu, Jalan Simpang Empat Semanggol to Bagan Serai, Jalan Siakap, Jalan Selama, Jalan Parit Buntar and Jalan Baru.
"The water disruption also involves trenches, houses, shophouses, schools, suraus, mosques, housing estates, temples, clinics, farms, offices and factories along roads," added the statement.
As such, LAP has advised those in the affected areas to store sufficient water for the period.
