Prolexus share price falls after earnings drop 54% in Q3

PETALING JAYA: Prolexus Bhd saw its share price fall 13 sen today, after the group's earnings in the third quarter ended April 30, 2017 more than halved to RM1.6 million, due to lower contribution from its apparel division.
As at 2.44pm, Prolexus shares lost 13 sen or 8.39% to RM1.42, for a market capitalisation of RM277.32 million. A total of 1.99 million shares changed hands.
Its net profit plunged 54% to RM1.6 million in the third quarter, compared with RM3.45 million in the same period last year.
For the nine month period, its net profit fell 14% to RM15.7 million, against RM18.2 million in the same period last year, as revenue declined 7% to RM258.1 million from RM277.5 million previously.
