SUBANG JAYA: A Lamborghini Aventador was damaged in a three-car pile-up at Jalan Persiaran Teknologi here on Tuesday.
The incident happened when the Lamborghini which was driven by a male driver tried to make a left turn to Persiaran Teknologi Subang from Persiaran Jubli Perak.
The driver lost control and hit the left rear of a Perodua Myvi and then crashed into a stationary car at a traffic light before ending up at the roadside.
Police said the Lamborghini suffered major damage, along with the other car which was a Proton Persona. The Myvi had minimal damage.
Rumours spread on social media that the driver of the Lamborghini was the underage son of a "Tan Sri" and did not have a valid driving license.
Subang Jaya police chief, ACP Mohammad Azlin Sadari put these rumours to rest.
"The driver of the Lamborghini as did all the other drivers involved in the accident had a valid license, it is also not true that the driver was the son of a "Tan Sri"," he said.
He also added that this accident was nothing out of the ordinary.
"This was an unfortunate accident but it was nothing out of the ordinary. It's because of the car involved that it had gained a lot of traction," he added.
