Probably the best experience

IN conjunction with its 170th global birthday celebrations, Carlsberg revives its “Probably The Best ...” campaign, similar to its tagline created in 1983 – “Probably the best lager in the world”.
Wanting to thank its loyal fans and supporters, as well as pay tribute to the beer that resonates with the essence of “always sharing”, Carlsberg launched its “Probably the Best Beer in the World, Carlsberg” consumer promotion.
WIN EXCLUSIVE AND MEMORABLE EXPERIENCES
“We will reward 20 consumers with a chance to explore Carlsberg’s 170 years of beer discoveries at its homeland in Copenhagen, and another 1,800 consumers to see, touch, smell and taste the quality natural ingredients of our brews through a VIP brewery tour ex-beer-ience in Shah Alam,” said Carlsberg Malaysia’s managing director Lars Lehmann (pix) at the prize-giving and media event recently.
Be one of 10 grand-prize winners for an exclusive all expenses-paid trip to Denmark or among 300 to win the VIP Brewery Tour along with five friends when you “spend RM30, snap and win” at selected bars, pubs, hypermarkets, supermarkets and convenience stores OR “collect and win by collecting bottle caps with designated icons”. PARTY OF ALL PARTIES
The “probably the best party” treated the media and the grand and first prize-winners to unforgettable experiences at Carlsberg Malaysia’s “probably the best brewery” in Shah Alam. The invited had an “ex-beer-ience” not many are privileged to have, which included a sneak preview of “Probably the Best Brewery Tour”, in advance of its first batch of contest winners.
Guests were welcomed at “Probably the Best Lounge” at Carlsberg’s brewery in Shah Alam, arriving to a “buffet brew” of Carlsberg Smooth Draught, Somersby Apple Cider, Kronenbourg 1664 Blanc and premium Connor’s Stout Porter. The ambience was easy – casual, unhurried and friendly.
A welcoming address, speech and lighting of sparklers to mark the anniversary were carried out, along with an insightful presentation by Carlsberg Malaysia’s marketing director Charles Wong.
ALL SYSTEMS SATISFIED\
After all the formalities, guests were chauffered in luxury MPVs to the Carlsberg gallery at its production plant. A guided sensory experience ensued at “Probably the Best Brew House” where the company’s supply chain director Piotr Zajac “showed and told” about the art of brewing a quality Carlsberg beer using natural ingredients of malt, hops, yeast and water. There were many oohs and aahs heard as guests got to see, touch, smell and taste, as well as learn all about the ingredients and brewing process, right up to bottling and packaging.
After the tour, it was birthday party time, complete with fun-filled “beer-inspired” games, “beer-tertainment”, even beer-seasoned food, and naturally free flow of the entire range of Carlsberg brands.
Beer-related activities and quizzes and learning how to pour the perfect pint saw an enjoyable evening, which for some, went on into a night of probably the best ex-beer-ience over probably the best!
