History will judge Mahathir, says Ahmad Zahid

BAGAN DATUK: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has reminded former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad to refrain from attacking Umno and the prime minister. He also reminded Mahathir that his era was over and said history would judge him.
"Just stop it and do not find faults in the current party leadership under Datuk Seri Najib Razak," he said in his speech at the opening of the Bagan Datuk Umno division meeting here today.
"Do not look for weaknesses now. Even during his period there were faults but we did not raise it. If he continues to hit us we will open the closet to expose the weaknesses and faults during his 22-year administration of the country.
"He is making a U turn by working with the opposition to go against us. Normally current leaders would criticise their predecessors but in Malaysia it is the other way around when a former prime minister attacks the current leader.
"Now he is supporting former Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim who he sacked from the party."
