Quirky beauty looks from Paris haute couture week

08 Jul 2017 / 03:05 H.

MULTI-COLOURED eyeshadow, eye-framing lash masks, bold lips and leave-in styling foam ... Take a look at the wildest beauty crushes to come from the catwalk.
Update your fall makeup arsenal with Chanel's ombre première eyeshadow collection, which was a go-to for Chanel makeup artist Shelley Blaze. She swept models' eyes with a striking combination of russet, plum, peacock blue, green and ochre shadow, extending the color beyond the inner and outer corners of the eye.
Makeup at the haute couture shows was defined by a bold sense of glamour with models championing the vampish red lip, from classic scarlet at Galia Lahav supercharged with electric blue eyeliner, to goth burgundy at Ulyana Sergeenko.
Galia Lahav threw caution to the wind with her rule-breaking makeup palette, resulting in an unabashedly glam double statement eye and lip combo.
At Maison Martin Margiela's show, beauty guru Pat McGrath took the red lip to another level, creating an abstract pout using her Matte trance lipstick in 'Elson', layered with red foil on the lower lip and transparent paper at the cupid's bow.

For hair at Margiela, London-born hairstylist Eugene Souleiman engineered the' 'stepped out of the salon too soon' look. Models' unfinished, unrinsed tresses featured traces of styling foam, cotton wool and metallic hair spray.
Meanwhile the punky platinum blonde hair trend is extending to brows, as seen on the Ulyana Sergeenko and Margiela runways where models sported bleached browlines.
Eye-framing spiky lash cat masks were a highlight of Julien Fournié's show. Makeup artist Nicolas Degennes gave extra depth to the sensational look by applying thick black eyeliner beneath the lower lashline. — AFP Relaxnews
