Hero loses leg after saving woman who froze on train tracks (Video)

A TRAIN driver has lost his leg saving an elderly woman's life, but has no regrets about it.
Xu Qiankai, 29, was driving a train on the outskirts of Chongqing on Thursday afternoon when he spotted an elderly woman crossing the tracks.
Xu pulled the emergency brake and sounded the horn, but the 68-year-old woman froze on the tracks.
The hero jumped off the train and ran towards the woman. He was able to push the woman to safety but he couldn't get out of the way of the locomotive in time.
His right leg was crushed by the train.
"Even though I lost my leg, I saved a life," Xu was quoted by the Chongqing Evening News as saying. "If I had to do it again, I would do the same thing."
The woman later visited Xu in his hospital room and went on her knees to show her gratitude.
