KOTA KINABALU: The Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) seized three local fishing boats for allegedly breaching the terms of their licence near the Pulau Mengalum waters on Friday.
Kota Kinabalu MMEA director First Admiral (Maritime) Adam Aziz said 24 Vietnamese crew, aged between 19 and 46, were detained during "Ops Sejahtera" from 1pm to 2pm.
"About 600kg of fish and 500kg of dried fish were also seized," he said in a statement here today.
