29th SEA Games torch run in Gerik today

GERIK: The Kuala Lumpur 2017 (KL2017) Torch Run being held in conjunction with the 29th SEA Games and ninth ASEAN Para Games continued today in the Gerik district.
Carrying the torch at 9am, Gerik MP Datuk Hasbullah Osman led the five km run from the Gerik bus station, across the town and completed it an hour later.
Gerik is the seventh district to host the KL2017 Torch Run in Perak after Kerian, Larut Matang Selama, Bagan Datuk, Batang Padang, Kuala Kangsar and Lenggong.
"I would like to thank the youth and sports ministry for giving us the opportunity to experience and be a part of the event even though the tournament will be held in Kuala Lumpur," he said. – Bernama
