JOHOR BARU: A burglar fell to his death from a fourth floor apartment at Taman Ungku Tun Aminah here today as he was fleeing from an apartment he had broken into, according to police.
Johor Baru Utara Police chief ACP Mohd Taib Ahmad said the man fell at 7.10am as he fled from the apartment he had entered upon realising that the owner was around.
"He scaled the wall by clinging on to some metal grilles but fell onto the road below when one of the grilles broke," he said in a statement.
Mohd Taib said the man was fatally injured in the back of the head and was confirmed dead on the spot by a medical assistant from the Sultanah Aminah Hospital.
