YouCam AR app integrates L'Oréal collections worldwide

L'OREAL and Perfect Corp.'s YouCam Makeup app are expanding their collaboration so that beauty consumers worldwide will be able to virtually try out shades from the company's brands.

After inaugurating the YouCam partnership with L'Oréal Paris and Yves Saint Laurent in Japan and developing a special showcase of beauty looks during the Cannes Film Festival for beauty fans in the US, India, Mexico and Russia, now hundreds of millions more beauty lovers will have the opportunity to virtually experience makeup collections from the beauty giant, learn about the products, and shop through the app or instore.

By leveraging the app at L'Oréal counters or in free standing stores, the new partnership with Perfect Corp's popular mobile technology demonstrates the brand's desire to offer shoppers a more seamless consumer 'online to offline' journey.

Meanwhile, new figures reveal that YouCam's award-winning augmented reality (AR) beauty experience is encouraging online shoppers to fill their carts with cosmetics.

A year-long study by Intage for Perfect Com of 25,000 females in Japan aged 15-69, the brain behind YouCam AR beauty apps, shows that not only is YouCam Makeup app go-to tool for trying out covetable cosmetics by Christian Dior, Clinique, Estée Lauder and Urban Decay, it is also proving to be an extremely lucrative moneyspinner.

YouCam Makeup 'try-on' users are 1.6 times more likely to purchase cosmetic products compared to females who do not use the app. They also spend 2.7 times more money on beauty products than non users.

Gen Z users are 10 times more likely to make purchase decisions on beauty products after using the YouCam Makeup app. And millennials are twice more likely to make beauty buys.
