2 Suspects sought in vicious robbery and assault on 14-year-old girl nabbed

SHAH ALAM: Two prime suspects sought by police over a robbery and vicious attack on a 14-year-old girl in Bangi last week were nabbed in Sungai Chua, Kajang today.
The suspects who are aged 21 and 23 were held an hour apart when a police team led by Insp Zazali Kenek laid an ambush at 4.30am in separate locations.
Selangor police CID chief SAC Fadzil Ahmat said the younger suspect has six previous criminal records while the other man has five.
Fadzil said their arrests came after police nabbed a 56-year-old woman and a 22-year-old man in Kajang a day earlier on Wednesday.
It is believed that both individuals had links to the main suspects.
All four suspects are being held under a remand order until Tuesday for further investigations.
Investigators are confident of solving the case with the arrest of the four.
On July 7, Form Two student Syazana Amirah Asshaari suffered a fractured a skull and other serious injuries when she was attacked by two men who broke into her house in Kampung Masjid in a robbery.
The SMK Bandar Seri Putra student who was alone at home was found unconscious and profusely bleeding in a room by her mother when she returned from work at 11.30am.
The 48-year-old woman later found her purse and two mobile phones missing from the house.
Syazana was rushed to the Kajang Hospital where she was treated before being transfered to the Kuala Lumpur Hospital for surgery.
Her condition is reported to have improved from critical to be stable.
