A WOMAN has destroyed as much as US$200,000 (RM857,900) worth of art in a Los Angeles gallery in a selfie accident.
The Daily Mail reported today that the woman lost her balance while crouching down next to one of the installations in a room decorated with dozens of rectangular pillars topped with crowns
The fallen structure triggered a domino effect, causing all the structures in that row to topple.
The incident at The 14th Factory featured the work of renowned artist Simon Birch.
A friend of British-born artist Birch, 42, captured a video of the incident. “This took place at my mate Simon Birch’s art installation in Los Angeles. She accidentally leant on it and the rest is history ... US$200,000 worth of art destroyed,” he said.
