PH logo does not show what pact is about: Thor

GEORGE TOWN: Since unveiling its logo last week, national opposition front Pakatan Harapan (PH) has come under fire.
Gerakan deputy secretary-general Dr Thor Teong Gee said the newly unveiled PH logo did not show what the pact was about.
He said PH was just a repeat of Pakatan Rakyat (PR), the predecessor to the current opposition pact.
"Their political pact is a marriage of convenience, they are just doing this to contest in the elections," he told theSun.
Penang Barisan Nasional (BN) Youth committee member Jasmin Nordin said PH had no clear leadership.
He said having Umno president Tun Mahathir Mohamad, PKR president Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail and PKR de facto chief Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as a triumvirate presented loose guidance.
"All the parties in PH have their own political agenda," he said.
Understandably, those in PH have rose to defend their choice with Bukit Mertajam MP Steven Sim of DAP saying the logo evoked a clear sense of direction.
He said the "arrow-head" type logo represented arrows which played decisive role of victorious battles.
"The logo represents the hope of Malaysians who are jaded with the many scandals we see," he said pointing out that PH had consensus or else the parties would not agree on a common logo.
Penang Amanah secretary Zahar Zainul meanwhile said those who criticise the logo would soon stop.
"It will only be temporary, people will stop criticising," he said.
