PUTRAJAYA: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) questioned Felda Investment Corporation Sdn Bhd (FIC) director Datuk Nik Azman Mohamed Zain at the anti-graft body's headquarters here today.
Azman was called in by MACC to assist with the ongoing investigation into the RM330 million four-star hotel purchase in London.
He was seen leaving MACC headquarters at 3.30pm, some five hours after being questioned by its personnel.
Earlier today, Azman had arrived at MACC office at around 10am.
"Everything went smoothly, I answered every question clearly," he told reporters when met at the headquarters.
MACC deputy commissioner (operations) Datuk Azam Baki said on Tueaday that key witnesses would be called in to have their statements recorded to facilitate the investigation.
On Friday MACC chief commissioner Datuk Dzulkifli Ahmad confirmed that an investigation paper into the purchase had been opened.
Dzulkifli added that based on early information, FIC is believed to have purchased the hotel at a price that is far higher than its original value which caused FIC to lose millions of ringgit.
Meanwhile, on a separate issue, MACC is tracing Shamsul Shahrul Shamsudin, a corporal attached to Kota Star district police Narcotics department to help in investigations into a graft case in Kedah in 2014.
MACC, in a statement today, said the 35-year-old man held the identity card number RF146693/820710-07-5415 and his last address was at A210 Taman Derga Jaya, Jalan Dati Kumbar, 05300 Alor Star, Kedah.
As such, members of the public who know or have any information on the man can contact MACC officer Hedzra Shahrul Ahmad at 012-5135290 or the nearest MACC office.
