KUALA LUMPUR: The combination of Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim in Pakatan Harapan will bring "death", said Tourism and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz (pix).
"I'm feeling good because they are going to kill each other. They cannot stand each other, so good that they are standing together now. Let them kill each other," the outspoken minister said.
"Let it be a long death, tak syok (no fun) if it is going to be a quick death," he said further.
Nazri later clarified that he meant that they will attack each other verbally and not literally kill each other.
"I said kill as in 'hentam' (insult). Please don't go and say that I now encourage murder," Nazri quipped.
Last Friday, Pakatan Harapan announced its new leadership line-up with PPBM chairman Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad as its chairman, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as the de facto leader and Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail as president.
The former law minister alleged that Tun Mahathir was motivated by vengeance and not principles.
"He is motivated by vengeance and not principles, this is because in his lifetime he saw the rise and fall of his own son, Mukhriz. If he was motivated by principles he will not be betraying all he said and stood for," Nazri said.
Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir resigned as Kedah Mentri Besar after a two-week long political crisis in the state administration, he was replaced by Datuk Ahmad Bashah Md Hanipah.
