A WELDER from Batu Pahat has managed to build a motorcycle using a Nissan RB20 engine. Abdul Rasid Ismail, 47, took three months to complete his project with the help of his 21-year-old son, Amirul Azlan.
Abdul Rasid, or more fondly known as Acid Welding, decided to build the motorcycle after he had problem selling off an old car.
"It didn't cost us more than RM1,000 as everything is already provided and we resorted to DIYs," he was quoted by Harian Metro as saying.
"I'm familiar with the RB20 engine, that's why I have no problem turning it into a customed motorcycle and displaying it at the 2017 Art of Speed (AOS) at the end of this month in Serdang, Selangor."
It will be Abdul Rasid's third AOS participation. He has modified over 10 motorcycles in the last four years.
"I've also passed down my skills and knowledge to my eldest son, who is with a Certificate of Motorcycle Technician," said the father of four.
